I had been stalking the ATI website for a couple of years after alighting on the words “Threads of India Tour” in the travel advertisements and decided it was finally the right time to go.
The support provided by Joji and Shani to prepare for this trip was extraordinary. It involved invitations to hear them talk about textiles to different groups, lunch at their home to meet other travellers, assistance with applying for a visa, suggested reading and very timely and efficient communications.
